About Menopause and Perimenopause
“I am having very uncomfortable hot flushes and dripping sweats. I am unable to sleep properly at night. I feel so tired and achy. I seem to have brain fog all the time and I feel like I am losing myself.
Perimenopause and Menopause can be very confusing. It can have an immense impact on your life, work, relationships, and even the way you see yourself. Every woman is different and has her own unique experience of menopause; some sail through menopause, while others can have severe debilitating symptoms.
If you are having symptoms of menopause, you don’t have to accept it as part of life. From bespoke hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to evidence-based wellness & lifestyle medicine interventions, there are many options to help you feel better and be healthier.
Your Journey in Menopause Clinic
What to expect?
Initial Consultation:
You will have an in-depth consultation with detailed exploration of your menopausal symptoms and concerns. We will look into your personal and family history and come up with a personalised treatment plan. You will be issued a prescription if needed.
3 Month Follow-up:
This is a very important follow up as we will explore whether the treatment offered is working satisfactorily and if you are having any side effects. You may be asked to get blood tests done prior to your review. We will have the opportunity to optimise your treatment plan.
6 Month Follow-up:
You will be offered another follow-up at this time to discuss your symptoms and treatment. Results of any blood tests or investigations will be discussed with you in detail and further adjustment made to your treatment if required.
12 Month Follow-up and Annual Review:
It is recommended that you have a follow-up at 12 months after starting HRT and then annual follow-ups while you are taking HRT. We will go through your medical history again together and note any new changes, then review treatment goals and ensure the safe continuation of HRT.
